Description

This Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 24 revolver with 6.5 inch barrel is in excellant condition for its age. The factory high luster blue shows wear on the leading edge of the clinder and at the muzzle, consistant with holster carry. There is also slight wear on the edges of the trigger guard and a light drag ring on the cylinder. Case colors on the hammer and trigger are faded but not worn. The breach face indicates only light wear and the bore is shiney with strong rifling the entire length (no pitting). The diamond style grips are solid with no cracks, checkering is sharp and the edges are not worn. The grips do not appear to be numbered. The action is extremely smooth, characteristic of the S prefix, post war S&W's. This is a subjective evaluation, but I would rate the overall appearance at 93%-95%, with mechanical function as good as new.
